BREAKING NEWS: April Retail Sales Rise More Than Expected

The Commerce Department reports retail sales rose 1.3% last month, compared to expectations for a 0.8% rise. Excluding the volatile auto component, sales rose 0.8%, compared to views for a 0.5% increase.
