BREAKING NEWS: July Durable Goods Orders Rise 4.4%

The Commerce Department reports durable goods orders rose 4.4%x% in July from the prior month, coming in higher than the estimate for a gain of 3.3%. Take out the transportation component and orders rose 1.5%. The estimate was for that part to increase by 0.5%.
