Suspect in NY/NJ bombings held on $5.2M bail; awaiting federal charges

AHMAD KHAN RAHAMI, the Afghan immigrant who authorities believe planted bombs in New Jersey and New York this past weekend, is being held on $5.2 million bail. He was captured Monday after a dramatic gun battle with police that began when officers found him sleeping in the doorway of a bar, and he has been charged with five counts of attempted murder of a police officer as he awaits federal charges.
